Terry McClure is in the fold for more than just this year. In the last hour, reports started flying with Adam Schaefter and Diana Rusini and everybody else that Terry had agreed to a three-year contract extension worth up to $96 million.

We'll find out the details of this deal.

They are far from in, but the great news is that Terry is going to play this year, of course.

That was always going to happen.

But he's going to play hopefully as a happy camper and as a player who now, based on this contract in his age,

will likely play his entire career in Washington.

That's not a given.

We've seen certainly at the end of careers, 34, 35, 36 years old,

players end up in other players for brief periods of time. But Terry is going to be a big part of this

first window for sure, the next two seasons with their quarterback on a rookie deal. Let's not

forget that that is a big part of why this deal was possible to begin with because they have the cap space.

They've got a quarterback on a rookie contract deal.

There are going to be more deals to come.

And clearing the way for not having to use a franchise tag next year and Terry, if he has a big year, could be huge for

them next year because they're going to have other contracts to negotiate. But Terry McClurens

hold in, hold out, you know, trade demand, the whole thing is finally over.

And I would think, and it's based on some of the things that Quinn talked about last week,

in terms of this ramp-up schedule, you know, this return to the field timetable,

that he came off Pup exactly August 16th.

So that was a week ago Saturday on August 16th.

Coming off that Pup list on August 16th and their ramp up period now,

with still 13 days left,
