And, of course, as all of you hanging out on our YouTube channel, subscribe to the YouTube channel right now, and of course we're talking about pitchers to add this week in Major League Baseball. The waiver wire is a little barren this week, so we're kind of combing around, looking for some guys, and I got some guys for you, and so does Welsh that are pretty low rostered, and I'm going to start here with the guy I want to talk about, which is Brandon Young of the Baltimore Orioles. Now, he is just 7% rostered on CBS. So do not. I repeat, do not tell me in the comments that he's already rostering your league because chances are he's not. You're one of those seven percenters? Joe, Joe, he's already rostered. I don't want to hear it from you.

These guys ever talk about low percentage guys?

1:05.3

So let's talk about Brandon Young for a second here because so far over his minor league track record here in 2025.

1:07.0

It was pretty decent. Two-seven ERA and seven starts in 2025 in the minor league level between two teams. This year so far at AAA, he had three starts with a one ERA. That's right. Just a 108 ERA, 16 innings. He had 19 strikeouts in just three walks. And when Dean Kramer got hurt, not that long ago, all of a sudden, Brian Young got his opportunity. And so far, he's made the most of it.

1:27.9

Welsh, if you look at what he's done so far, baseball Savonpage is pretty good over those two outings. He's got a 253 ERA, 10 innings, seven strikeouts. Like, I don't think he's going to be a guy that's going to dominate necessarily. But if you're looking for somebody, especially with the Orioles offense, starting to heat up, We talked on the show about how Samuel Basayo is red hot.

1:46.6

Pete Alonzo starting to hit home runs again, that's a good sign. There's an opportunity here for Brandon Young to make a couple starts, maybe get you a couple of Ws, and if you have to kind of patchwork some pitching, he can help you there. Again, I don't think this is a long-term investment where he stays in the rotation forever, but considering the way Rogers and Bradish have pitched, I don't know if something's going on there and some I-L Stint ends up happening, Brennan Young could even stay longer in a rotation. So there's upside, but at the same time, there's affordability when it comes to Young. So Young is a pitcher that I would add in deeper leagues right now, try to play some matches with him and see if things work out. Welsh, give me a picture that you're looking at this week that you might want to add in fantasy baseball. I'm going to go really low roster percentage. I don't know the CBS in front of me. Maybe he's a little bit more than Brandon Young. But according to the consensus ranks across Yahoo and ESPN, he is 2% owned. This is on Fantasy Pros. And I'm going with Jansen Junk. Now, I will say, Brandi Young, Janssen Junk, we're in a space where I don't know if these are guys. It's like you go drop these big time players. You pick these guys up and you hold on for dear life. but similar to the Casano, which one, which I talked about a couple weeks ago, that people got all pissy about and whatever, because some of the underlying stuff and the strikeouts weren't great. Well, guess what? He's still rattling off good starts. And that's kind of a similar approach, what we're, what I'm looking at for Jansen Junk. Junk has had like one relatively not fantastic start, but through that he has a three ERA

3:11.2

through six starts, a 1.06 whip, and he's got a lot less strikeouts than innings pitch.

3:17.5

It's only a 15% K percentage.

3:19.2

So again, that's kind of similar to Casanoich, but he's given up really, really low quality of contact. Hard hit rate

3:26.9

is low against. People are not barreling the ball. He's not walking anybody. And his expected

3:31.3

ERA is around three and a half. And a lot of that has been this like phenomenal changeup that he's

3:36.8

had. I think, you know, Seros has even talked about some pitch grip stuff that junk has worked with,

3:41.7

but he has had efficient outings, one bad outing really of the five. And if you go and look at stuff

3:48.2

plus numbers, I think this is really encouraging. He's got an overall 102 stuff plus, which that is

3:53.3

the higher ring, if you're going at like a marker of 100. He was 96 last year.

4:02.2

His location plus 109, that's well above average. His pitching plus is higher than it was a previous year 110. He's seen increases in his slider and his change up. Those two pitches have been a really
