So the abortion decision continues to royal America and there is so much contradictory information

around that it is very hard to understand what's going on.

On Friday we got word of a CNN poll that showed that the decision was having very little

effect on the national discussion that in fact Republicans were gaining in the so-called

generic ballot which is what when you ask people if they want to vote for a Democrat or

a Republican in November up to 49 42 that's up six points since the ruling or since not

the ruling but the leak of the Alito draft decision.

It's a seven point spread that's the largest spread in polls in the generic ballot and

this is what we expect to see if the tsunami is coming that over over the months between

now and November that number grows into the you know double digits and that's when you

really know that Democrats are going to get slammed but also in the CNN poll among Democrats

43% now say they are extremely or very enthusiastic that's up seven points but among Republicans

that number extremely enthusiastic vote is 56% up nine points and voters who say overturning

row would make them happy or nearly twice as enthusiastic about voting this fall as those

who say such a ruling would leave them angry 38% extremely enthusiastic and one of those
