and I'm glad that he did. And now I see another story about Pete Alonzo and Daryl Strawberry

having Pete Alonzo comments. And I just, everybody needs to move on from Pete Alonzo.

You have to do it, man.

And I know he was a fan favorite.

I know he gave you a lot of moments.

And I know you were upset that he's gone.

But the sooner that just move on from this, the better it's going to be.

And the only way that this really is going to be a problem for Mets fans is if the Orioles have a better record and a better season in the Mets, and Pete Alonzo is a huge part of that. They won't. And they won't. So I'm not saying you're not allowed to be upset about Pete Alonzo not being a MET, but it's got to end at some point. You know, by the way, I'm rooting for Pete Alonzo. I want him to do well. Absolutely. We all like Pete. And the five years, $150 million, I wouldn't have done it if I were the Mets. But if he goes on and has an MVP season for the Orioles, great for them and great for him. So these are the two things I'm talking about. One, Pete Alonzo hits a home run in a spring training game. That video goes everywhere. It goes like, oh, the Mets fans, this is what you lost out on. Pete Alonzo's hitting home runs for the Orioles already. It's a spring training game. Didn't the Mets just hit four home runs in one spring training game? It doesn't matter. So just because Pete Alonzo is hitting one for the Orioles doesn't mean anything. And then yesterday, I guess Darryl Strawberry says that, you know, and I understand he ends up leaving the Mets and going to the Dodgers and his career was affected by all of this. We get that whole part of it. He ended up leaving here for different reasons.

Right, exactly. But he said that Pete Alonzo is going to regret leaving the Mets. He didn't want to leave. Like, this is where I will defend him. The Mets didn't want to bring him back. Steve Cohen and David Stern did not want Pete Alonzo back. So it's not like he's going to be regretting, not staying here. I mean, he certainly wasn't going to sit there and take some ridiculously undermarket deal to stay with the Mets, which I don't even

know if they would have even offered him that? The argument for Daryl Strawberry would have been

towards Edwin Diaz. Yes. Because Edwin Diaz chose to leave, even though the Dodgers did

offer him a little bit more money and maybe the Mets would have come up and met it,

he chose to go to the Dodgers.

That's right.

Money about equal, term about equal, I'm going to the Dodgers.

And I'll tell you why he went to the Dodgers in my, is because he probably sees the Dodgers as a much more consistent team right now

than what the Mets have been since he's been here.
