Aloha! And welcome to our live stream midweek Bible study. I'm starting that way for a reason and I'll explain what that

reason is. So on Sunday at the end of the update, I said thank you, Aloha. And would you believe that

we had a number of people, actually numerous people, email and comment and ask, did I just

say thank you, Allah? I did not say thank you, Allah. I said thank you, Aloha, not allah. I said,

thank you, aloha, not Allah. I want that to be very clear, I'm going to also be mentioning this

on Sunday. So that's why I dragged it out and said, aloha. Okay. Also, by the way, I had someone

comment, this is a while back, Pastor J.D., why are you making the hand signal, which is the sign of the devil?

All right, this is not the sign of the devil.

This in Hawaii is known as Shaka, and it means, how's it bra? it bra translated how is it going brother how's it

bra it is not that's Shaka so okay I'm not here tonight to give you a

cultural lesson of Hawaiian culture I am certainly not qualified to do that, but I did want

to clear that up before we get started. All right, let's get to it. What I'm hoping to do in

our time together tonight in God's word is answer this question of whether or not our lives will ever return to normal.

And in order to do that, we're going to need to revisit two passages of Scripture,

the first of which is in Matthew's Gospel chapter 24, verses 36 through 44, and then

the second is Luke 17, verses 26 through 37. So you can follow along as I read. Let's start with

Matthew 24, beginning in verse 36. Jesus is speaking. He's actually answering

a question that the disciples asked concerning his return and the end of the age. And after

answering that question, he then says in, pardon me, verse 36, but of that day and hour,

no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but my father only. But, verse 37, as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the son of man be.

For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark.

And did not know until the flood came and took them all away.
