Seven Labour MPs who was suspended from the party last night, the whip's been taken away from them for six months by Sir Kir Starma for voting against the government to call for the scrapping of the two child benefit cap.

First there was an opposition vote to scrap the two-child limit on welfare, which Starma insisted

the country couldn't afford.

But for me, taking a stand against child poverty, one of the biggest scourges in the country which affects

4.3 million children is something that I'm very proud to have stood my ground on.

And then yesterday afternoon, Labour MPs had another difficult choice to make.

It's worth saying that no Labour MP is happy about this, no Labour MP is comfortable with it.
