Our first contestant on this wonderful Wednesday morning is Ben Turner.

Welcome, Ben, from Northampton.

Hi, morning, Vernon.

First of all, you used to be a musician back of the 90s.

You play guitar, and you were offered the gig to play drums in Toploader.

I was, yes. It was apparently about the sort of 90s. I couldn't remember it was just before their major hit or not, but I had some sort of neutral friends and I used to be quite a little bit in the sort of music scene locally and they sort of said they're looking for a drama. Would you consider maybe, you know, going up for it? At the time I kind of umdenard but the timing wasn't sort of quite right and so i had other responsibilities so i kind of had to shelve it and i mean looking back now i don't regret that decision but you never know what it might have been if i'd have said yes and gone for it hey well well top loder had a bit of a run didn't it and what have you? And dancing the Moonlight was a huge hit, even though it wasn't written by them, but still

a great cover movie.

No, exactly, it was. And then they kind of, I think there was a couple of singles after that. They kind of sort of pitted out, so maybe I made the right decision. You liked doing a bit of painting as well, Ben? Back in the 80s, do you remember the garbage pedal kids?

Of course.

Well, that was quite a big thing at school.
