Iran directly attacked Israel for the first time over the weekend launching some 300 cruise missiles,

ballistic missiles, and drones at the Jewish state.

Israel intercepted most of them with the help of the United States, the UK, Jordan, and perhaps other countries, and they did little damage.

But the attack nonetheless crossed a new line of escalation in the war between Israel and

Iran that until now has been fought via Iran's proxy armies.

How will Israel respond to the attack, especially since the White House is advertised far and

wide the President Biden wants Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government to

calm down and not strike back at Iran.
