I am, well, I want to remind you about the

curate's egg, which was famously, of course, good in part. So the curate, I think it works like this.

The curate would be the most junior member of the household, living with the vicar and his wife,

which meant if there was an egg that looked vaguely suspect,

or smelt vaguely suspect, it would be more likely given to the curate.

And you'd say to the curate, how's your egg? And the curate would reply, good in parts,

which is obviously ridiculous because an egg is either rotten or not. And I think sometimes we forget that politicians are not curate's eggs. Politicians are a little bit more complicated than some of our analysis allows, particularly

analysis driven by tribal loyalties.

And I'm not sure we will ever live through a period of more entrenched tribal loyalty than

the Brexit period where people, understandably, decided that their feelings were more important than observable facts, and people who just presumed that observable facts would prevail got their noses. Very, very bloodied, blood that in many ways continues to flow. But, I mean, first of all, if I said to you, how many prime ministers ago was Theresa May, and you had to answer, now, what would you say? That, that, too late.

You'd have to count them in your head.

You'd have to go, try, oh, flip, I forgot about Liz Truss.

I wish the markets could.
