We're doing a open mic show today, and that's, uh,

that means that we are taking calls, uh, but not live. Um, you're not calling in, but, uh, I'm taking

calls that you do call in on off schedule and leave a recording, um, on characteristically, and we get a list of those,

and when we do these special shows like this, we take those calls. A lot of folks can't wait

for an hour or an hour and a half sometimes in order to get through to be able to spend some time and chat with me.

So we've made this other provision.

It's a great idea.

And look under podcast. You'll see there a link to live broadcast

and then a sentence that says, submit an open mic question. Just follow the prompts there,

push the button, whatever, and then leave the recording, and then Amy gathers them and collates them and gives them to me,

and then I work through them over time.

So we're going to get to a number of questions today that you've sent in,

and I want to start with a question that has to do with actually something I have strong feelings about.

And I have talked about this before on the air, but it's been a while.

It might be good to revisit the issue.
