Hello, and thanks for tuning in to the Marketplace Morning Report, live from the BBC World Service,

0:10.7

I'm Leana Burn. More woes for Evergrande, the Chinese real estate giant had its stock trading in

Hong Kong suspended, and the thing is, nobody's really sure why it happened, but it comes after they

0:22.7

said they couldn't move forward with their planned fixer for financial problems. To make things even

1:39.4

1:52.0

too many houses and far too few people who want to buy those houses. So, for a long time,

1:57.6

property developers borrowed lots and lots of money. They were banking on a boom. Customers
