Mark Ruta, the Secretary General of NATO, a very competent man, visited the White House Wednesday to try to mollify President Trump.

But unlike his other visits to the White House, there was no joint presser, no joint press conference

afterwards with expressions of common ground.

Instead, the president issuing tweet posts, including this one, NATO in all caps, of course,

NATO wasn't there when we needed them and they won't be there if we need them again.
