we're moving off of some of the normal conversations of of off season dreams and hopes and aspirations and we're going to talk a little bit about the hopes of two Hall of Fame worthy candidates in Devon Hester and Steve Mango McMichael as were just about a week away from these decisions

getting made and I'm certainly excited as someone is the self-proclaimed biggest Devon Hester fan of all time right here residing here on this show and then we have a guy here and Corey Wooten who played with Devon Hester and then in my eyes the greatest sports historian you know in

I'm well how are you guys? Doing good. So you were

telling me that you covered Corey his rookie year coming out from Northwestern.

After that, so I had a cup of coffee

with the Sun Times in 2011, Corey's second year,

but my big year on the beat was 2012.

And that was where I was there, you know, every practice.

I wasn't doing games, but I was there like three practices a week. I did a big feature on the

defensive line. All all 10 players at that point on the line a big story called Rushman which was the name

that uh Coach Marinelli put on the defensive line door when he took over.

The good old days brags that that's that's the temp the Tampa to get off the football

Rod Marinelli chewing our to in our ear out and that's what I'm hoping Eric Washington will do with this defensive line in there because of an area that needs to really improve for the Chicago Bears in

2024 is the defensive line. I think Montez Sweat getting him last year really elevated this defense.

Now we have some guys that really need to get along and we talked about Jervondex to taking

him to the next level, especially being from a scheme in Florida where it was read and react.

So getting him to the next level when it comes to getting off the football

and I'm excited to see with Eric Washington who coached me in college and my first year in the NFL to get them going.
