The big story keeps repeating on Fox 25, residents in Cambridge dealing with the heat with no air conditioning, just like the place I moved into when I first came here.

I think that building, though, they're instructing the people not to turn on their air conditioning.

Like, I think they've turned it off.

There's some actually shenanigans going on with that story right there. I'll have to check, but I saw like that headline. That doesn't seem like a slum lord. I think that there's some shenanigans going on. Yeah, there has to be shenanigans. Because when I first moved here, I was like, why the hell do these places not have air conditioning? Then I remember when I grew up, we didn't have air conditioning until I was much older. We had a stupid attic fan. Oh, yeah, we had fans in every room. We had fans, and there was one air conditioner in my entire house. When I grew up, it was in my parents' room, and it was one of those, you know, open up the window and stick it in their units. and all of us used to huddle in there for like hours. Has anyone ever been like smashed by one of the ones that are hanging out the window? Because I'm always, I'm sure. I'm sure it has to happen because there's got to be a whole lot of incompetence in putting those things, installing those. Like a happy Gilmore thing where they. John, how many, okay, go to Alston right now where all the college students live, and how many are held up by, like, duct tape and awful, like, hammered nails? When I was in college, there's no, or out of college, there's no way I would have done what you're required to do to put it in. No way. No, it would be the most half-ass. Yeah, I would have like books supporting it. Sure. Like there's no way. There's no way. There's literally no chance I would have followed the instructions. And if I did, I would have done it wrong anyway, because I have an inability to do that. Yeah. Like if you gave me like a big thing of Legos, there's no way.

And I would lose my mind, which is good because my wife now knows, even when we're not getting

along, she knows not to task me with something that requires several steps because I will invariably

lose it when something doesn't go right and then start throwing the equipment around.

Okay, I guess they're saying in this building, no AC and heat on during the heat wave.

Residents have been suffering and now this is from Fox or Boston 25. And now we're told the heat is off, but still no AC for a week. The heat's off. Well, that's no good. Well, that's weird. I want the heat on. It's on the street. Yeah, it's a public housing building. Which requires them to turn the air conditioning on June 15th. Oh, they get public housing. It's air. It gets central air? Cambridge Housing Authority is the building that's regulating. It must be nice. There are regulations, I think, in the state where you need to have it switched over at a certain date. You can't do it beforehand. Ah, and they don't want to pay the electric bill. That's a mighty electric bill, though, in fairness to the people that own the building. I mean, that's no joke. I mean, there's plenty of people around here without air conditioning. I side. I always side with the conglomerate. Let the people suck. So many now people, don't send me any more of these. I got someone to send me a video of a guy getting hit in the head by a falling air conditioner yeah i don't want to see that happens it's got to happen

them just hanging out like by a thread like someone could like like cough the wrong way and that

thing's fall on three floors and smashing onto somebody yep Yep. There's no reason you shouldn't have central air. Well, except for most of the buildings around here. I know. Built in... It's a 1600s. Not if you own an apartment, but if you own a home and you don't have air conditioning, that's on you. That's a you problem. I don't want to hear it. Most of them still have lead, too. I mean, listen, I lived in that stupid dump that was expensive as howl on Tappin Street with the stupid bats flying around. Ah, Brookline. Yeah, great. So fun. My wife was really happy.
