0:00.0	What we're going to be talking about today is whether or not the United States actually has the capacity or the capability to lead in the 21st century.
0:06.6	And the reason why this is such an important question is because, as Christian and I have discussed multiple times, along with Tina and Hamilton, the United States is not in the best shape.
0:14.6	And there's a lot of people that feel very, very pessimistic about the direction of the country and for good reason. When you look at inflation,
0:21.4	when you look at housing, when you look at the stuff that's showing up in our school system,
0:25.0	when you look at the cultural issues that we're facing, there are a lot of reasons to be
0:28.8	frustrated about the current state of the United States. And there is no shortage of geopolitical
0:33.9	experts that will tell you that not only is the United States in decline, but that we
0:37.9	deserve to be, that we deserve to be horrible patriarchal exploiters that we are. And so they have
0:43.7	predicted for a while now that going into the 21st century that this would not be another
0:47.5	American century, that we would basically losing our place as the economic, military, and global
0:52.4	hegemon, and we would be replaced either by
0:54.6	China or maybe the EU or maybe by the BRICS system.
0:57.6	And so today we're going to analyze whether or not that's true.
1:01.5	We're going to look at some numbers that should indicate to us on whether or not the United
1:05.9	States is still in a position to lead in the 21st century, provided that we can get our crap together.
