All right, hello, everyone, and welcome back to making the argument.

Today, we are going to discuss a very important question, something that Christian and I have been debating just kind of around the kitchen table quite often.

And that is where exactly is the American Republic headed?

And of course, if the word republic finds its way into any conversation, well, then a discussion about

Rome is not far behind. And it turns out the Roman Republic, which existed for close to 500

years, had some of its own problems, some of its own crisis. And there was different points that

there was different people that rose up during those various crises in order to deal with it.

And we're kind of wondering, if we draw those parallels with the Roman Republic, where is the

United States Republic currently at?

Are we at the sort of point in our own history where we need a Cincinnatus, a Sala, or

are we going to get a Caesar?

And that is what we are going to discuss today on making the argument.
