The race is on, and Fernando Alonzo is once again in the news for a possible return to the Renault team

to take the seat vacated by Daniel Ricardo. But how likely is it to happen? Does Renault really need him?

I'm Ed Strawn, and joining me to shed some light on one of the most divisive drivers in the history of Grand Prix racing as Scott Mitchell and Mark Hughes.

Scott, hello. How's your sim racing career going? I'm sure our listeners are eager to hear because you

decline to talk about it on the last podcast, I think. Yeah, the moment I'm constantly being driven

into. So my sim racing career is about as representative of my, it's pretty representative

of my carting quotes career. It's good fun. I'm doing, i've tried a few different things now uh got a little

bit of a career going on i racing i'm doing uh gp v gp vc championship in sort of a formula two car and

championship set up um my most recent racing that was in montreal circuituits Jilvilnev, which was, which would

have gone really well, but it ended in me being protested by someone and protesting three other

people. So I made a lot of friends. And then I'm next week or like, I think the day after this

podcast comes out, I'll be making my touring car debut at Donington Park in virtually, obviously.

Where are you planning on being fired off in that race?

I reckon I'm going to try and make Red Gate. I think someone like me is primed for a monster

Crane a Curve shun. I've been fired off in a race at Donington Park on the main straight at the

start. Okay. So I'm basically not going to turn to you for advice for this one then. I wouldn't do. But then again, you know, if just two cars just squeeze into you and beat you into the wall, what can you do? Mark Hughes, how are you? I presume you've not, you've not had a sudden onset sim racing career, so what have you been up to?

No, I've been, what have I been doing? I've been riding my bike. I've been reading.

Not at the same time. That's extremely dangerous. No, that's dangerous. That'd be ridiculous.
