Summary
Could a dog bite really unravel a case like Karen Read's? In the tangled web of courtroom drama, the qualifications of a dog bite expert are now front and center. Is a seasoned ER doctor who has seen countless bites enough, or does the case demand a certified dog bite specialist? Add to that the peculiar detail: the dog in question, Chloe, is still alive and seemingly available for examination—but why does no one seem interested in her teeth?
The confusion doesn’t end there. The defense and prosecution clash over time-stamped data, with the creators of the software insisting the defense has it all wrong. Yet, the defense holds firm, muddying the waters to sow doubt in the jury’s minds. Is this clever lawyering, or are we venturing into the absurd?
With shifting narratives, questionable experts, and a jury poised to weigh it all, one has to wonder: how much confusion is too much when justice is on the line?
