I'm joined in the studio by the business producer, Matt Holzman.

Let's start with Peter Bart.

Peter Bart, the venerable editor-in-chief of Variety, who's been there for 20 years, is out.

He's actually up and out.

Well, yes, he's been kicked upstairs. And I'll tell you,

the press has sort of jumped on him. Peter Bart, known as a guy who, you know, did a lot of things

to improve variety, but also wielded his power sometimes as the editor of variety as a blunt instrument.

And also was accused in a very damning article by Amy Wallace of some impropriety in his dealings with Hollywood.
