because it's just been a really tough time.

The North Bay fires have impacted all of us in some capacity and definitely for the people

who are in the middle of this tragedy, those who have lost loved ones or homes, you know, people who have been

evacuated, first responders, volunteers, I mean, everybody. I hope that you are okay and I hope that we will get through this as a community. I know that we will take time but we will get through this.

I work in the KQD Newsroom and many of the stories pouring in from the wildfires are harrowing.

This is the only place in the world that I felt safe and with all the chaos going on around the world I knew that I can come home and I would be safe in my little bubble with my dogs and my boyfriend and I'll miss waking up in the morning and opening the shutters and having the sun shine through and watering all my plants. I had so many plants.

But there are also stories of resilience.

We have about 10 faculty members that have lost their home. But there are also stories of resilience.
