I've flown like 150 times

just since I worked at CBS since 2020. I counted that the other day, by the way. And so I don't

want to flex on you guys, but I flew into my third airport in the state of Mississippi earlier today.

Wasn't for work-related reasons, but nonetheless, that's a big deal. And then our boy Brandon

Walker, who allegedly hails from Mississippi, tried to guess which three. I want you to think about

these odds. My man went 0 for three in guessing the three airports I'd flown into in Mississippi,

which are, by the way, Gulfport today, Jackson, and Meridian. And my man went over three. Just classic quintessential Brandon Walker, even put it in his wheelhouse and he whiffs entirely. I'm Josh Pate. This is the Lake Kick Extra podcast. I'm doing this one on the road, but it doesn't matter because it'll sound the exact same. We are absolutely loaded, man. Okay, let's dive into this mailbag and let's chop up some college football and maybe a little something extra mixed in here and there. Simple from Fayetteville, Arkansas, leads us off. As someone who gets to see a lot of games in person,

what's the strangest fan-based tradition you've seen in person? Well, brother, you live in Fayetteville, so you don't have to go very far. It's in your backyard. Call in the Hogs, if I took someone who is agnostic towards college football, they don't know anything about it, and I took them into Fayetteville and And I let them witness that. They'd be terrified. They call the cops if they witness that. It's just a classic situation of something that makes total sense to you. You love it. You've been immersed in it your whole life. It's the same way with a bunch of A&M traditions. They love it. They've been immersed in it their whole lives. But if I take an investment banker from St. Paul, Minnesota, and I just

have them hang out on the sideline with me for a Saturday, that's, that's otherworldly to them.

It's roughly like the experience a fish has when you catch it and it's lived in water 100% of its

life. Then it thinks it sees lunch and bam, there's a hook attached to a fake worm they got me and then it gets pulled out of the

water and some dude named jethro looks at it for a second says nah which in and of itself is a slap in

the gills and then you toss it back in the water that fish just experienced roughly what that investment

banker from st paul minnesota would experience if I took him to Fayetteville on

Saturday and let you go, woo, pig, suey, razor back, in his face, 85,000 strong.

Can you really stop to just for a second appreciate how insane that is to a quote-unquote normal person?
