Summary

There were two things that identified the life of Joshua - his service to Moses and his hunger. However, there was one thing that Joshua failed to remember…the next generation. Joshua had no successor, and as a result, Israel would spend 396 years under judges instead of a presence obsessed leader. Until David came along. Beloved identity then brings back obsession with presence, recaptures lost territory and establishes strong leadership through worship. Beloved identity is taking back the high ground and making worship the principle of our existence.

0:35.4	Versus tonight the wilderness society began with my heart to reach out to a handful of leaders that had moved to be with us in South Carolina and the Holy Spirit had other ideas.
0:48.0	It morphed into more of what you're seeing now, which is a place where we can touch leaders kind of all over the place and just really honored to be able to do that.
0:57.0	And the phrase that kicked off the first wilderness society was this if you're wondering about the whole wilderness aspect it is that the
1:03.6	wilderness can never be understood appropriately until it is viewed
1:08.4	exclusively through the lens of the father's jealousy.
1:12.6	And when we allowed wilderness to become a negative term,
1:16.9	when actually it is a place according to Isaiah 40,
1:21.4	according to Isaiah 59, 60, 61, and 62
1:25.7	that is longing for someone to come tell the wilderness
1:28.8	what she was really designed to be.
1:30.8	The goal is not to escape the wilderness, it's to stay until it's no longer a wilderness.
1:36.0	Until it begins to bloom, until the lion are able to lay down with the lamb, until the predator is no longer able to prosper.
1:42.0	So that's the heart of what we do here at the Wilderness Society,
1:45.7	and instead of going, well, we're supposed to go from the Wilderness
1:48.2	to the Promise Land.
1:49.8	Well, not so much.
1:50.9	Jesus finds John the Baptist in the wilderness and decides to go more deeply
1:54.8	where John the Baptist already is. He meets John in the wilderness, here's the voice of beloved
1:59.9	identity, bring affirmation from there, receives grace to transition even more deeply
