Welcome to NFL Daily where we could use a little distraction on this wild card weekend.

I'm Greg Rosenthal in the garage talking to Patrick Claibon, my friend, in his backyard, with a great little view there of his kids' house.

And yes, you might have noticed we did not have our preview show at the regularly scheduled time.

We ended up not going in on Wednesday to the studios because of the wildfires going on here in Southern California.

And yeah, as I was getting ready for this show late last night, Patrick, I thought about the

word distraction.

It's always a negative thing when you're talking about football teams and players and coaches.

And I was thinking as I was writing these notes on like Cooper DeGine versus Jaden

Reid, this is a good distraction because like a lot of people here, we've just been

focused on everything going on.
