And folks, you know, Wicked really is on my brain. But I know we all got to

get in line for the sequel and we got to wait it out. That's, that's okay. We'll make it together.

But in the meantime, I think you'll be as pleased as I was with today's guests, Winnie

Holtzman, who adapted the book Wicked into the musical Wicked and is now the co-screenwriter of the movie Wicked,

and she is joined with co-writer Dana Fox.

Winnie and Dana were so forthcoming about their creative process, and it really was a fascinating

process for this project that certainly took its time to make it to the screen, but clearly

took the correct amount of time to make it to the screen because the movie turned out so fantastic.

There's a lot of great information in here about adaptation because it really is such an interesting adaptation where they added so much to the already great musical, which, by the way, it really was a risk to color that far outside the lines.

You know, there's that old saying, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

And they really retooled a lot, but did so with such loving care that it worked.

Without a doubt, Winnie and Dana were very forthcoming about their creative process

and what it took to bring Wicked to the screen, so I know you'll dig this episode.

Now when it comes to this episode, it was unfortunately recorded on a very dark day in Los Angeles history.

We knew that the fires were breaking out in the Palisades and we were monitoring it during the day,

but pretty much once the interview was completed, things really started
