And we're going to talk about Zachary and Rieszsche, talk about why it ended the way that it did in Atlanta and what Rie is, what he could be, and all that kind of stuff.

And so, Brad, let's start here.

Today right now, Zachary Richet, joining this Dallas Mavericks team.

What kind of player are the Mavs getting?

I think they're getting a player with some reasonable upsides still.

He's 21 years old, which is I'm sure you've already shared multiple times with listeners and viewers.

He's still 21.

He has not changed.

Just turned just turned 21.

He's this is a young player.

But you know, the 3ND plus archetype is what it was always hoped to be for Rishi.

And it still very much could be that. I think he is a

solid already three-point shooter. He is a developing defender who is getting stronger in the

way that guys do when they're 19, 20, 20, 21 years old. And while he's probably never going to be

the number one overall pick, like you have one of those on your team right now, Cooper flag, he is not. But I was going to say, that one hopefully will be a number one pick that's a number one overall pick like you have one of those on your team right now Cooper flag he is not but that one hopefully will be a number one pick that's a number one pick that feels like yeah that and that was and he was and he was supposed to be one of those right flag is supposed to be one of those guys rich to say while he went in that slot right was never probably going to be that and now I think he was kind of a prime change of scenery guy to get away from that, honestly, some of that expectation that comes with that. And I think this is still long story short, a really young potential two-way forward. And everybody in the league is looking for two-way forwards. And he is potentially one of those guys. The maps are just trying to get as many as they can. They're like, if you are shorter than five or six, five, we are not interested in

you in you in any way.

Rishi, as I'm looking through his offense and just as, as I've watched him from afar,

seems like just an, like a league average offensive player.

Like literally career average from three, 36 percent.

League average from three last year for the league was 36 percent exactly. Like he's just a league average. You know, Synergy has his transition game is average. Spot up game is average. Like he was good on cuts, but bad on picking roll ball handling. Like you don't want to ask him to have the ball on his hands too much. Just seems like a really like league average player. Is that where you would kind of put him? and then how can he can he get you know to be a point where we feel like he's a good offensive player yeah i think that's pretty reasonable uh i'm not surprised i hadn't looked at the series of numbers in a minute but the pick and roll ball handling is not it's not it's not it's only four percent of the time it was not yeah they don't ask him to do that, but he, they, they did not ask him to do that. And he is a, he is a role player on offense right now. Um, I think that there is some room to grow potentially for him. Not to not to be an every down creator, but someone who could at least have the ball on his hands and run an action, which he wasn't asked to do much in Atlanta. But yeah, I think that's a reasonable baseline to say he's an average offensive

player right now.

I think the shooting's been hot and cold, which was also the case as a prospect. Obviously, when the Hawks were considering him in the draft, I was looking at old prospect stuff. And it was a lot of hot and cold, like hot streaks, cold streaks. And it could be kind of maddening what he's missing. but he had to stretch in his rookie season,
