Summary

On SUPERWOMEN, I’m sitting down with Dr. Amy Shah, a double board-certified physician, best-selling author, and nutrition expert. Amy walked away from a traditional medical career to carve her own path in wellness. After spending years training to become a doctor, she found herself exhausted and unfulfilled. Searching for answers, she turned to writing as a creative outlet, never imagining it would lead to a thriving career helping women take control of their health.  In this episode, Amy shares her expertise on the often overlooked connection between gut health, hormones, and overall well-being, breaking down how modern lifestyles wreak havoc on our bodies and what we can do to reset. She explains the science behind fasting and its effects on women, why walking is one of the simplest yet most effective tools for brain health, and how our food choices shape everything from energy levels to mood. She also addresses the alarming misinformation online surrounding women’s health, highlighting the red flags to watch for when seeking medical advice. Amy gives us actionable insights on reclaiming your energy, strengthening your body, and building a life that feels aligned with your goals. Whether you’re navigating career uncertainty, struggling with fatigue, or just looking for ways to optimize your health, her wisdom offers the clarity and motivation to take charge. Tune in now, and check out more of her work at AmyMDWellness.com. Thank you for listening!
