Summary

EP13 - journalling is different for everyone and there is no right way to do it. in this episode, i give you a glimpse into mine and how i used it as a tool in my life. i share how my mindsets have changed over time regarding food and using it as fuel rather than a distraction, learning to overcome internal pressures and how striving to feel emotions is more important than seeking constant happiness. i hope this gives you an insight into my problems and how i have or am trying to overcome them and you can apply them to your life and maybe introduce journalling into your routine. as always, lots of love x

I'm in a pretty calm and zen mood.

I'm quite tired. I was going to go for a nap and I was like,

0:28.1

this is actually perfect podcast mood because it kind of just zends me out. So I was thinking about this week's episode and I want to dive into my journal. I've had some requests before because

0:35.2

I've read some sections on previous episodes, but I kind of, I guess I want to go into journaling and I always mention it so I thought, why not really talk about it more.

0:43.5

It's not just about why we journal, but also what I'm writing in there, mindsets, you know, seeing the progress I've made.

First thing that's kind of come into my head is to know that you don't have to journal every day. I think it's a massive misconception and I think people beat themselves up when they buy a self-help journal. They start it on the first day and then by day three they can't continue. They think they can never journal. They don't think they're good at it and they're like, what's the point of this? It doesn't help. It just makes me stress because I haven't journaled.

1:12.6

And I think, yeah, it's important to know that you don't have to do it every day. The journal is there for you. You know, you don't work around the journal. You don't have to go to it every day. It's there for you. It's yours. and when you're down and you need to write something down you go there when you're happy

1:11.3

and you've you write something down, you go there.

1:28.6

When you're happy and you've, you know, had an achievement and you want to write something down

1:32.8

or if you're just doing okay or if you've figured out a new mindset and new realization,

1:38.2

you can just write it down. Now, I am getting into journaling more and I do have my flows, but I literally have a tiny journal next to me.

1:48.3

And it's been a whole, I think it's like a year and four months, and I still haven't finished it.

1:54.1

This little notebook.

1:55.7

And if someone wrote it in it every day, it'd be done in like two months probably.

1:59.3

But what I'm trying to say is that like

2:00.9

you don't have to do it every day and the other thing that's great about journaling is the fact that

2:05.4

you can really see your progress the idea is not to just only write about your good days or only

2:11.1

you're right about your bad days it's right when you want and you'll naturally find that you do
