Let's talk about gamifying grit.

I read this phrase in a book that I've been reading, barking up the wrong creeds,

a fabulous book, very, very research-based, and it's a dive into the research behind success.

And so one of the chapters in the book is about quitting.

Do winners, quit, do quitters, win, all this kind of stuff.

And so I was reading the chapter and there's a story in this chapter about a guy and his friend Joe and Simon.

And so this happened back in the mid 80s.

And I'll give you the short version of the story.

Joe and Simon are on a mountain top snowy icy conditions, they're trying to scale a mountain.

And at some point Joe breaks his leg and they realize we've got to get back down this mountain.

And so they take on the very difficult task because Joe has a broken leg of going down the mountain.
