If you are curious how to get, if you are curious how to get massive house plants, well sometimes you have to give them a little more support than just watering and light and maybe some fertilizer, you might have to actually build them a physical support.

I mean, in the first episode we talked about growing plants close to nature

and these specific plants that I like to grow are climbing aeroids. So in nature they would

climb up trees in the rainforest. So I want to grow them as close as possible to the natural

growth pattern or growth habit, but I don't have any trees inside,

so I need some sort of support. Now when it comes to support, you don't, there's many options,

you can grow it technically on your wall if you really want to you could have a plank of wood,

you could have a bamboo stick, there's many many ways of just providing the plant with vertical support.

And that in combination with good conditions can actually do the

do the trick and get your plants to mature but when we're growing indoors we also

challenged by height.

So I like to grow moss poles and for me moss,

I like to grow my plants on moss poles and moss poles are not just there

to provide the vertical support, I actually labeled them an extension of the pot.

Moss is a growing media. The plant just goes into the moss pole like it would normally grow in a pot. Think about it, that leave at the very top of the moss pole like it would normally grow in a pot. Think about it that leave at the very top of the

moss pole is about 180 centimeters, like 2 meters 6 foot I think above the pot. So if you're completely relying on the roots within just the pot, the plant has to do a lot of work.
