So today's episode is something that we've never done on the show before. We're bringing back an episode that originally aired in February, 24, my birthday month, actually. It's a listener favorite and personally one of mine, because it's with one of my very, very best friends. And we are re-airing it you today to enjoy again, and maybe even for the first

time if you are just joining us since this was released. It's a conversation between myself and

my amazing friend, art influencer, writer, author, extraordinaire, Kimberly Drew. This episode is actually

from our very first installation of our series, Hey Sis, which happens every February and March, where we

talk to amazing black women and dedicate every week to them. But this was the first year. And

that first year, I wanted to talk to someone I talked to literally every day, a person in which

Saeed and I have a group chat that is as old as the original vibe chat group chat. And this

conversation has become

kind of lore for our show because it's something that I love to do personally in my life and I brought

it to the show, which is to call a friend and talk about one thing specifically. And this thing was

talking about soft living, which my friend Kimberly Drew knows all about. If you know Kimberly's work,

she's very busy.

She's writing. She's creating art pieces and curating art shows all around the world, but she has

a specific superpower, which is wherever she goes, she creates softness. And softness for her is a

superpower. And what inspired this conversation was this month, particularly, she stayed at my

house while I wasn't there.

And when I returned home, she texts me, hi, how can I help you land softly here? And when I got

home, she had prepared all these things for me to acclimate home in the most beautiful way.

So I wanted to have a conversation with her about why softness is important for us to survive a

very hard world. And the episode really took off.
