Summary

1. Lack of sleep You could feel exhausted all the time simply because you lack sleep. Alcohol, overtraining, and eating too late can interfere with sleep. Chocolate consumption can increase theobromine, similar to caffeine, which can interfere with sleep if consumed too late.

Try taking magnesium one hour before bed to help you relax. Vitamin B1 is also vital for quality sleep. Did you know that going outside in the morning to watch the sunrise can improve your sleep? Try it!

2. Cellular hypothyroidismThyroid hormones go into every cell in your body, controlling metabolism and energy levels. If your thyroid is not working properly, you will likely experience fatigue. Increase selenium to improve thyroid function. Brazil nuts, sardines, shellfish, and grass-fed liver are excellent sources of selenium.

3. StressA severe stress, such as the loss of a loved one, can cause your immune system to shut down because of the cortisol spike. This allows latent viruses like the Epstein-Barr virus to come out of remission and cause chronic fatigue syndrome. High doses of vitamin D can help.

Try making your own L. reuteri yogurt, one of the best remedies for high cortisol. Increasing magnesium and sodium and taking long walks in the woods can also reduce cortisol levels.

4. Histamine overload An enzyme in your body naturally breaks down histamine. Alcohol, medications, and gut damage can inhibit this enzyme’s function, increasing histamine levels. Avoid aged cheeses, vinegar, canned fish, and fermented vegetables if you suspect a histamine sensitivity.

5. Blood sugarConsuming high amounts of carbohydrates or sugar during the day often leads to blood sugar fluctuations at night. Frequent night waking decreases energy during the day. Carb consumption depletes vitamin B1, which can cause restless legs syndrome, waking you up.

6. Sleep disturbances Sleep apnea and being too hot or too cold can interfere with your sleep. Frequent urination caused by too much snacking or too many carbs can also be the culprit.

7. Protein intake If you’re not consuming enough high-quality protein, it could be the reason you’re feeling exhausted all the time. Try adding more protein to each meal for a significant improvement in energy.

This video is all about getting your energy back. Getting your energy back might require different things.

0:05.2

I'm going to cover all seven reasons why someone is tired. To figure this out, we're going to start

0:09.1

with the most important question. When did you start becoming tired? What happened just before this change?

0:15.3

Let's go through the seven reasons. The seventh one I'm going to talk about is the absolute most common and most important.

0:21.5

Let's start with number one.

0:22.4

Lack of sleep.

0:23.3

Why don't people sleep?

0:24.4

Well, it could be they're drinking alcohol.

0:27.0

Alcohol might make you tired, but it prevents you from going into the deeper sleep.

0:31.7

Another reason why people don't sleep is they overtrain too much exercise can stir up more

0:35.9

adrenaline.

0:36.6

That can prevent sleep.

0:37.6

You can also have problem sleeping if you eat too late. So if you have sleeping problems,

0:41.2

the earlier you eat in the day, it's going to help you sleep. Consuming chocolate too late in

0:45.4

the day can increase something like caffeine called theobromine, which then can keep you up.

0:50.7

Now out of all the supplements that help people sleep, I would say magnesium should be

0:54.4

at the top of the list. That can help all of your muscles relax. If you have any spasms or tight

1:00.7

muscles anywhere in your body, magnesium is the answer. You want to take magnesium glycinate one hour

1:05.9

before you go to bed. And then the other nutrient is B1. If you are deficient in B1, you're going to have restlessness,

1:13.1

a lot of excessive thinking. And the reason why people are deficient in B1 is usually they have

1:18.2

too much stress or they're consuming too many carbohydrates. Since we're on the topic of sleep,

1:23.7

there's one really powerful thing you can do. You just have to go outside in the morning
