And how reassuring it is, really, that Kirstama in the House of Commons twice,

in his statement on Monday and at Primeness's questions, made clear by implication he didn't

launch an overt attack on the United States and Israel, that the original military action was unlawful and without clear

objectives. Now, there's a whole debate going on. Some of you might have read it. Tim Shipman's

got a piece in The Spectator saying that he wanted to give the US access to British basis earlier

than he eventually did. And there is a debate about whether he should have ever done it or when

he should have done it. But the fundamental call isn't challenged that he regarded the mission as breaking international law and has doubts

about the, well, more than doubts, can see no clarity of purpose.
