Have you ever felt ashamed or tried to suppress your tears when you just really wanted to burst

Because maybe you grew up being told, hey, crying is not good for you.

Be a man or be strong or, you know, it's a bit of toxic masculinity there or maybe culturally,

you don't show your tears at the sign of weakness.

Well, I'm pleased to tell you that crying is definitely not a sign of weakness, nor vulnerability.

It is a complex human behaviour, a universal complex human behaviour that has a murid of

psycho neurobiological effects.

Interestingly though, even though it's such an important and universal phenomenon, there's

been very little research on crying and on tears per se.

And it's only in recent years that crying has actually had more tension in the research.

And I think it will continue from now on.
