| 1:02.0 | And I wonder if I could begin by just reflecting a bit on soul. Why we speak of the Soul, all Souls Day. |
| 1:10.0 | Well, I go right back to the book of Genesis, the very beginning, that first account of creation. |
| 1:15.8 | What do we find? We find that God makes Adam from the dust of the earth, from the mud, the clay of the earth, |
| 1:24.1 | and then breathes into him, like he's a mannequin or a doll, but then breathes into him the breath of life. |
| 1:32.3 | And that word breath in Hebrew is one that's often translated as soul. |
| 1:37.3 | But see what that's that poetic image is communicating. |
