and he is the author of the new book, The Case for Open Borders, available now from Haymarket Books.

Hey, I wanted to start, actually, by perhaps you could tell our listeners and our readers about

Arizona Luminaria, because before we get to the book,

you work for a pretty cool publication. I think they should know it. They might not have heard of it.

Yeah, so Arizona Luminari. We just had our two-year anniversary yesterday. It's a new

nonprofit media outlet based in Arizona. We cover the state as well as the border, a little bit of Sonora, which is our neighboring state just south of the border in Mexico.

We focus on local news, but we try to do it in a way that takes deep, hard looks at things as analytical.

And we want to reach beyond our state, our two state borders and

make sure that there's, you know, putting stuff out there that is relevant and of interest to

the national audience, especially Arizona right now is a very interesting state to be reporting

from. And it is sort of at the center of a national, national conversations on a number of issues.

We have a really important Senate race coming up.

The presidential race in Arizona is going to be very interesting.

And then our state legislature is pretty off the wall, but I think trying to sort of contend

with arising different sort of politics and with shifting

demographics. So it's just a very fascinating place to be focused on right now.

Yeah. And so you're working hard to fill the local news hole that is sadly developed
