We're talking about the virgin conception of Jesus over the last couple of weeks. We started

off talking about the essential nature and why we think it's reasonable to begin with. And last week we talked about whether or not

this Virgin Conception was borrowed from other prior mythologies. This is a claim that is sometimes

made by skeptics related to the Virgin Conception. If you haven't been able to kind of see those yet,

claim that skeptics sometimes make when they doubt now to be to be honest, a lot of the doubt related to

the virgin conception is grounded in the kind of crazy claim that anything as supernatural as a

virgin conception could occur in the first place. If the claim was simply that Jesus was born

in downtown Detroit, well, that's probably too crazy. Let's say that Jesus was born in Jerusalem.

Well, nobody would be questioning that.

Why?

Because there's nothing supernatural about the location and birth of Jesus in Jerusalem.

But this is a very outlandish claim that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
