Hi, I'm Dave. I've been walking for fitness since 2013 and I've averaged almost 21,000 steps a day.

That's not my goal, but really a reflection of just how much I love walking.

My goal today is to demonstrate to you, in fact, even to prove to you that walking is the best exercise, the best fitness activity on the

entire planet. And I'm going to do that by telling you a story of a bike ride that happened yesterday.

So I have mentioned that in addition to walking, the other fitness activities that I enjoy do, enjoy, are strength training. I do some high-intensity aerobic activity. And I also have a bike,

a one-speed cruiser, because here in Myrtle Beach, there are zero hills. And you don't need.

I don't need multiple speeds.

One speed cuts it and I enjoy.

Actually, I love riding my bike in the afternoon.

And while there is a fitness benefit for that bike ride, it's more about just the enjoyment of being on my bike and riding, particularly when the weather is warm to hot.
