Summary

President Trump made his case for war with Iran during his State of the Union Address on Tuesday. He said we “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear capability in strikes last summer, but we need to go back to obliterate it again, or they’ll shoot a missile at the US (it doesn’t make sense). In any case, the US has assembled its largest strike force in the Middle East since the build-up to the Iraq war.

One of the things that I think we all agree on is, you know, making sure that Iran doesn't get a nuclear weapon, which will destroy and disrupt the Middle East.

0:15.0

I thought he already destroyed those.

0:16.4

No, he obliterated it. Let's listen to him talk about it and then talk about the fact that we're on the precipice of war with Iran. As president, I will make peace wherever I can, but I will never

0:25.8

hesitate to confront threats to America wherever we must. That's why in a breakthrough operation

0:33.0

last June, the United States military obliterated Iran's nuclear weapons program with an attack on

0:40.3

Iranian soil known as Operation Midnight Hammer.

0:46.7

So, you know, one of the things that's kind of crazy, in my opinion, is that we have the most

0:51.9

heavy artillery that we've had located outside of Iran since 2003.

0:57.1

There's a military buildup much like what we saw in Venezuela.

1:00.7

The question is, for what?

1:03.3

The CIA just met with the gang of eight recently this week.

1:08.8

Something is happening in Iran, and we don't know what, but I thought that we obliterated their

1:14.3

nuclear program.

1:15.4

So, like, what exactly what are we doing?

1:18.3

I think Iran has the makings of another Iraq, which is devastating.

1:26.7

Well, and it seems all like this is inevitable, which it's not supposed to be because there's

1:31.2

no congressional authorization.

1:32.6

There's been no credible case being put forth.

1:35.5

There's contradictions in terms of we obliterated it, but we don't want them to get it.

1:40.9

Which one is it?

1:42.1

This is pretty serious.
