I'm Leah Libowice and today we're going to talk about what I really believe is one of the most important news stories we've covered in a very long time.

The arrest this Saturday of a Syrian-born Palestinian American green card holder named Mahmoud Khalil,

who is one of the leaders of the anti-Jewish pro-Chamas riots at Columbia University.

But don't let me tell you about it.

Let's listen to someone who actually knows what they're talking about.

Our guest today, joining us live from Transylvania, where he is opining, is my good friend,

Ilya Shapiro, senior fellow and director of constitutional

studies at the Manhattan Institute and the author of the terrific book Lawless, the Miseducation

of America's elites. Hello. Hi, Leel. It's good to be with you. And, you know, this trip has

been good, but I'm on day four and I've not seen a single vampire.

Well, all the vampires, it seems, have washed upon America's shores.

And last Saturday, ICE detained one of them, a Syrian-born man named Mahmoud Khalil, who was one of the leaders of the kind of tentifada,

if you will, at Columbia, who just last week was running around Barnard College, disseminating

actual propaganda leaflets printed by Hamas, a person who belongs to a group that previously

said that its goal was to eradicate Western civilization

and crumble the American Empire. And so, since, as I said before, you actually know things

and we're here not just to cheer on the downfall of our enemies, but actually to explain

why their deportation is perfectly legal and desirable. Explain to us, why is Mahmoud Khalil being deported

and how all this is legal. Sure. This is a question of immigration law. It's not a question of

parsing the First Amendment or any other laws that you might think are involved. Mahmoud Khalil is
