Happy Monday and welcome back to the Liz Wheeler show. Well, this weekend, you and I were witness to one of the most pivotal moments in modern global history. We woke up early Saturday morning or perhaps some of you stayed up extremely late Friday night. But many of us woke up Saturday morning to the news that President Trump,

commander-in-chief of the United States military, had ordered an attack on Iran.

Now, when we heard this news, many of us asked the same question. What is this mean? Are we at

war with Iran? Is this a full-scale attack? Or is this a somewhat limited strike like last summer's 12-day war with Iran. Is this a full-scale attack or is this a somewhat limited strike like last

summer's 12-day war? Almost immediately, before we had any of those answers, because to be frank,

we still don't have a lot of those answers. A divide appeared within the ranks of the Republican

party and the conservative electorate.

People, you and I have a lot of valid questions about what is going to happen in Iran.

Now, of course, President Trump himself announced his military action against Iran.

This is what he said.

A short time ago, the United States military began major combat operations in Iran.

Our objective is to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime, a vicious group of very hard, terrible people.

It has always been the policy of the United States, in particular, my administration,

that this terrorist regime can never have a nuclear weapon. I'll say it again, they can never have a nuclear weapon.

I'll say it again.

They can never have a nuclear weapon.

That is why in Operation Midnight Hammer last June,

we obliterated the regime's nuclear program at Fordot, Natanz, and Isfahan. We pray for every service member as they selflessly risk their lives to ensure that Americans and our children will never be threatened

by a nuclear-armed Iran. We ask God to protect all of our heroes in harm's way, and we trust that, with his help, the men and women of the armed forces will prevail.

Finally, to the great proud people of Iran, I say tonight that the hour of your freedom is at hand.

Stay sheltered. Don't leave your home. It's very dangerous outside. Bombs will be dropping

everywhere. When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take. This will be
