Tonight is a very special night for two reasons.

It is one of the last ten nights of Ramadan being an odd night, and it's also what?

It's also Leilat de Jum'a, Friday night.

Now, subhannalah, I remember a few years ago, and every so often it happens that when an odd

night coincides with A Leilatul Juma, that there is a snippet from the book of Al-Hafidman Rajab, Rahima Allah ta'u'u'u'a-ta'am

which we read from in Ramadan in particular, by the way.

Every single imam uses that book

to talk about the virtues of Ramadan

where he's quoted and he quotes

that it is hoped that if an odd night coincides with Litutu' Juma coincides with a Friday night,

which is technically a Thursday night, that that has a greater possibility of being Lailet

al-Qadr. That is his quote. And I wanted to actually speak about that, inshallah

but situated in a broader context. So first and

foremost, by the way, I've never seen it happen in my recent memory, at least on the first of

the last ten nights. And subhallah, I always think to myself, you know, imagine if Laidatea

Al-Qadr is the first of the last ten nights. Like, we're just getting warmed up, and it hits you in the first of the last ten nights.

And it could be the first of the last ten nights.

And how many people would have missed out on the good of that?

So may Allah allow us to catch Lai'Altu'Adra whatever night it is.

Allah, am I mean. But you know, I can't remember it being Leil T'Juma and the first of the last ten nights.

I remember it being the 25th night a couple of years ago in that discussion happening.
