I've been so curious to talk to you for so long because we have like this weird, backwards connections connection through like awkward circumstances and and also

I like I learned so much about you in this book which surprised me and so anyway your new book

is trial by ambush murder injustice and the truth about the case of Barbara Graham.

And I'm really excited to talk to you about it.

First of all, so can you tell me what brought you to this case and why you wanted to write about it?

You know, it was an accident.

I was looking at another case completely, and I had not heard of the Barber Graham case.

But once I did start looking into it, it was actually the first thing I thought was I'm

never going to write about this because it was like its own case of the century, trial of

the century.

It was a big deal, got national coverage and a ton of local coverage by all the newspapers.

And back then there were a ton of them, you know, and they were all pretty tabloidy other than the New York Times.
