Before we talk about all things severance, we wanted to talk a little bit about some breaking Oscar news from this week.

And that is that Conan O'Brien already is slated to return as host. Clearly,

the Academy liked what he did in his first gig earlier this month. Rebecca, what do we make of

such a quick announcement? I mean, that, I think, is what is so notable. I can't remember the

last time a host was announced this quickly.

Even when Kimmel returned, it wasn't until much later in the year that it was announced he'd returned.

So this really speaks to how happy they were with his performance.

And I think that's true.

All the feedback has been so great about what he was able to pull off.

So very clearly, very happy over there at the Academy.
