editor Jake Garcia. Another week has officially gone by and college football remains a huge talking point with

controversy about something that hasn't even started yet.

That's typical college football, isn't it?

It's like we haven't even had it yet,

and yet the next iteration is already creating controversy.

But that's just how we live.

It's almost like we embrace controversy in our sport.

And I can't say that I totally disagree.

But at some point, guys, let's just not put the cart before the horse.

Let's just see what the horse looks like and see how much cart it can carry.

So we're going to go over some of the 14 team playoff discussions that could start in 2026.

We know we have the 12 team for the next two years,

but there's already strong reaction

and what appears to be momentum heading in the direction of a further expansion.

So we're going to go over some of that today.

We also have a couple more teams that have taken to the practice field in spring football,

so we will break down Miami and we will break down Cincinnati.
