No. I will start by telling you why Cody Bellinger is just not a realistic option.

I believe the reporting that's been out there about Bellinger that the Yankees have offered him

five years, $160 million in that range, and that Cody is holding out for a seventh year.

If the Mets were never engaging in a long-term deal for Kyle Tucker, who's better and younger,

and they were never engaging in any kind of long-term deal for Pete Alonzo, who's also better, in my opinion,

then why would anybody in their right mind think that the Mets would engage in what Scott Boris is asking for.

Desperation?

I don't think the Mets are going to play this desperately.

They'll rely on the young guys instead.

Yeah, and I also think that it would make David Stearns and Steve Cohen look really foolish

if at the end of this offseason they start getting away from their principles as much as I disagree with some of their principles.
