like an endless journey to teach every verse out of the new testament on live stream we're not going to go

so deep you fall asleep or you need scuba gear we're're trying to make the scripture practical. We're trying to make it where you can understand it even if it seems complicated, breaking it down in a very simple way. It's relatable, it's practical, and help you understand the scriptures. A lot of times we gloss over scripture thinking, I just don't know what that means. I don't really care. If you guys don't know, you probably do because I say it all the time. I love doing the verse by verses. I love reading through the Bible together and talking about it and seeing what the Lord says and what the word says. So let's go through this together.

This is written by Paul. He's writing to a spiritual son, Timothy, hence why it's called First Timothy. There's also a second Timothy. At the time, Timothy was leading a church in Ephesus. Ephesus is a major city in Asia Minor. They were known, as I said last week for their pagan worship. They had temples to false gods and to pagan gods.

And this church was facing a lot of false teaching and a lot of false teachers coming in. They were confused. There was moral compromise. And Paul is going to discuss tonight how we should treat various people in the church. He's going to start with the older people in the church and then the younger people. God cares about how we treat people, especially in the church. And guys, one thing we've done is we have failed to properly treat people right in the church. We have failed to treat our brothers and sisters, right? We just need to be nicer. We need to be kinder to people in the church. So Paul is going to talk about that treatment of church members and then they'll talk about widows and all that other stuff. So let's start with verse one as we do verse by verse by verse. The title says verse by verse because guess what? We're going to go verse by verse. So that's why the title says that if you wondered why it says verse by verse. And for the titles of these videos, I just take a verse from the two chapters and I just choose that as the title so the

six but I don't know how else to title these then just taking one verse and using
