Summary

On this MiniPod, our hosts Angela Rye, Andrew Gillum, and Bakari Sellers are STUNNED by what Fed Chair Jerome Powell did.

The chair of the Federal Reserve, which sets our nationwide interest rates, is under investigation by the Trump administration. A stalwart bureaucrat, Jerome Powell made a rare public statement about the investigation, claiming that it’s politically motivated, and an attack on the independence of the Federal Reserve.

Let’s back it up, what does the Federal Reserve do again? Why is their independence important, and why are our hosts so SHOCKED by Jerome Powell’s statement?

because a lot of people don't really understand what it does and they don't understand
