We're going to finish Joel chapter three tonight. Wait, let me start over. If you only knew how tired I am

this week, I'm sorry. I know God will be gracious and he's always, his grace is sufficient,

right? So let me start over. Good evening and welcome. So glad you're here tonight, those of you online. We're going to finish the book of Joel tonight with chapter three. Is that better? For those of you that are more technical, speaking of technical, this is a technical book.

And by that I mean, it's, I was thinking about a way to illustrate this.

And the best thing I could come up with is if you were to take the entirety of the book of Revelation and try to condense it into actually less than three chapters and include with it history, which is in effect married to prophecy,

Bible history, you understand, there's this beautiful

marriage between, and we're going to see that tonight, a beautiful marriage between Bible history

and Bible prophecy. So if you were to take that coupled with the entirety of the book

revelation and condense it abbreviated into a

snapshot a teaser if you prefer of what the actual book of Revelation was

before the book of Revelation was to be written you'd have the book of Revelation was to be written, you'd have the book of Joel.

And particularly, it's even more abbreviated in the sense that chapter 3 is a,

abbreviation is an understatement.

It's actually, for lack of a better word,

it is a condensed version of the book of revelation

packed into a chapter,

which happens to be the last chapter of this very short book.

So much so that we're going to tonight, so you know,

we're going to start off with the seven year tribulation,

the day of the Lord, which as you know actually lasts from the beginning of the seven-year tribulation
