The symbol of a cross reminds us of Jesus Christ, our Savior, and the good news of the

Gospel. But why the cross? In part one of today's message

we learned that where there is sin there is suffering. Though he was

sinless, no one has ever suffered like Jesus did. Jesus Christ died in our place to pay the

penalty for our sin, but the cross means more than substitution and suffering.
