Today is the day where it's 250th anniversary, from the day where the Second Continental Congress was called, and it called every colony in America

for the day of humiliation, fasting, and prayer. They did not just ask God for prayer, but they humbled

themselves in fasting. They didn't just pray general prayer. They actually invoked the name of Jesus.

They asked God to forgive their sins. They asked Jesus to

stand and intercede on behalf of these 13 colonies. And then sometime later, over seven weeks later,

they declared independence from the Great Britain, took their guns, and went to war. This is 250 year anniversary this day when in this country

people gathered together to pray and fast. They were already a year into war with Britain and then

when they prayed and fasted something shifted and three And three or something months later, that was the July 4th where we celebrate the independence.

What I want you to know is this war lasted about eight years.

And eventually, United States experienced independence.

This is not a political message, but you must understand the foundation of this nation.

The founders fasted. The pulpits proclaimed God's truth and God's people, they didn't hide,

they participated and this nation was formed. Today there is a crusade that is being released in public schools to reconstruct our

history, to paint our church fathers as evil, immoral, atheists, slave owners, horrible people.

Because if they could attack their reputation, they can destroy their document that they produce called the Declaration

of Independence, called the Bill of Rights and the rest of them.

And the enemy wants to hijack our history.

And the young people are biting into this and believing into this.

And what I want to do in this message today is to bring us back because we stand on the shoulders
